♥Penang 161209-221209 [Day 5]
that day was the day that eddie and family was due to arrive. it was such a coincidence! hahaha. we woke up early to be in time for the Cheong Fatt Tze tour at 11am.
had a quick breakfast and off we went to the mansion! =)
it's RM10 per person for the guided tour and it was really worth every cent we paid for. the guide gave us an overview of Cheong Fatt Tze's life and the history of this mansion. we both agreed that the a guided tour was really a better choice to know more about this place, rather than walking aimlessly and explore ourselves without knowing the background info. unfortunately, we couldnt take pics of the interior of the mansion.
both of us walked out of the mansion satisfied. =)
eddie's sms came in the middle of the tour but since that tour was of more imptance than him, we called back only after the tour and all the photo taking. HAHA. it was still early so we went to look for the famous chendol stall, along the way to komtar.
we actually gave up after searching for quite some time and decided to walk to komtar but along the way, we chanced upon the stall!!! i like the chendol! but not hunny.
then we went to a small cafe to have another bowl of chendol to make a comparsion to this famous one. but i still prefer the roadside stall. (maybe cos of the hair. HAHA.)
then we took bus and as usual, we would ask the driver to let us know when to alight. since eddie's hotel was near Gurney, we could recognize the streets. the driver didnt asked us to alight at the stop which we previously did. instead, the stop he instructed us to stop was even nearer to Gurney Plaza. seems like the drivers were also confused. haha.
it was still early and we saw another choc boutique and coffee boutique, we decided to go to buy more choc and more coffee and more money was spent and more reasons to regret with what we bought. sigh.
anw, it was a long long walk from Gurney Plaza to Evergreen Hotel. according to eddie's description, our eyes almost popped out when we entered the room. it's a 5-star hotel leh... mai siao siao... even the scenery is so much nicer than ours. hahaha.
we had a sumptuous dinner with eddie's family and his parent's friends.
then all of us, except two of ed parent's frens, strolled along the beach from Evergreen to Gurney hawker centre.
rested our feet at G Hotel. before proceeding to the hawker centre for food. =)
then eddie's mum friend sent us back to the hotel that night. =)
