♥Penang 161209-221209 [Day 6]

this is our second last day at Penang. we woke up alil' earlier as we need to travel to batu ferringhi in the afternoon. we decided to have char kuay teow and laksa for breakfast. we went to have laksa first, which we missed it on day 2, but the stall wasnt ready and we waited for quite some time. the soup wasnt hot cos i think the uncle was afraid that we waited for too long. so actually the laksa didnt taste very nice.

nonetheless, we went over to the char kuay teow stall and we spent some time waiting too. a group of singaporeans came and with 6 adults and 2 kids, they ordered 17 plates, iirc. FAINT. machiam like yao gui. so much of the morning time was wasted waiting for food to arrive.

then we proceeded to the famous biscuit confectionery to buy ma ti su and tau sah piah. we bought ALOT. one whole luggage was just filled with ma ti su. HAHA. we had a hard time bringing them to singapore.

btw, on the right bottom pic below, it's the soka centre in Penang! looks like a very pretty mansion! but didnt have the chance to enter. =(

batu ferringhi is actually a beach area. so we went to a toy museum near BF before heading to the beach. it was my ex-colleague who told me that museum is a MUST go and his eyes literally lit up when he mentioned it. well... so we went...

the entrance fee was a freaking RM20 each and the toys were all placed in cabinets!!!! damn sad. really. still... we took lotsa pics. try spotting your childhood toy in the pics.

conclusion, please dont go. we consoled ourselves we spent this money to let frens ard us know that they shldnt go. haha. anw, we wanted to go to a tropical fruit farm, which is also one of the tourist attractions. we asked the toy museum staff and he advised us not to go.

"they will just point any tree and say this is a durian tree. then along the way, probably it's the same kind of tree, they will say that's XX tree. this farm is mostly for ppl who come from countries w/o fruit trees."

yeah, we saved our time and money, thanks to him.

so... we headed to the beach, without any swim wear. -.-''' all my fault. haha. anw, BF is very different from Georgetown. we felt extremely relax there. a different feel altogether. oh there were numerous water sports that cost quite a bomb thou. this stressed us. hahaha. and there were only restaurants there as BF is a place cater for tourists.

we were early for the night market at BF, which only operates at ard 6plus in the evening. so we had some food and spent our time relaxing at Parkroyal's lobby. HEH. i decided next time hunny and i come for a short 3D2N trip to Penang, i would want to stay at one of these beach hotels. hehe.

we went for a stroll and saw ppl setting up the night market.

we went to check out the two seafood restaurants at BF. hunny was craving for seafood that day. haha.

then we saw this fish emo-ing. and an eel that costs RM2200 per 100g!

nth much to buy at the night market, it's somewhat like our pasar malam. they sell almost the same stuff - fake designer bags and sunglasses. we managed to buy a big bag to put our stuff and i honed my bargain skill there. hahah.

it was a long one hr bus ride back to Georgetown.

we searched for some seafood stalls back in GT, but not successful. so we settled for BBQ chicken for our dinner on our sixth night in Penang.
